SCRCOG Transportation Improvement Program
(TIP)
2007-2011
The 2007-2011 Transportation
Improvement Program (TIP) identifies federally funded surface transportation
projects to be implemented in the South Central Connecticut region from
fiscal years 2007 through 2011. The TIP is incorporated fully into the
Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (ConnDOT) Statewide
Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
South
Central Regional Council of Governments (SCRCOG), the region’s Metropolitan
Planning Organization (MPO), is responsible for the preparation of the TIP
in cooperation with local governments, ConnDOT, Federal Highway
Administration (FHWA), Federal Transit Administration (FTA), and Connecticut
Office of Policy and Management.
Periodically the 2007-2011 TIP is adjusted through an
amendment process. These amendments are presented at the
monthly Transportation
Committee Meetings. Where members of the Transportation
Technical Committee review the changes and vote on recommendations to be
made to the full board. The region's TIP is updated following a
resolution vote by the
SCRCOG Board at its monthly meetings.
