SCRCOG serves fifteen municipalities in the South Central Region of Connecticut. The Chief Elected Officials (CEOs) of each municipality serve on our Board, with appointed positions to the Executive Committee.

As a Council of Government (COG) and Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), SCRCOG also hosts additional Committees for decisionmaking on regional planning and transportation planning.

The Executive Committee is a subset of the Board consisting of annually appointed leadership positions. The Executive Committee meets monthly to recommend Council of Government (COG) and Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) business to the full Board.

The Transportation Committee and Transportation Technical Committee meet jointly on a monthly basis to recommend transportation planning and programming proposals to the SCRCOG Board. Members include Chief Elected Officials (CEOs), municipal planners, and municipal engineers.

The Regional Planning Commission (RPC) meets monthly to review referrals from member and surrounding municipalities, including zoning amendments, subdivision applications, and municipal Plans of Conservation and Development (POCDs). The RPC is made up of planning & zoning commission members for each municipality.
