June Meeting Description:

Accessing capital is a challenge even for successful companies. Luckily, there are government-backed banks looking to lend specifically for small business expansion. The US Small Business Administration backs loans between $500k to $5m with lower down payments and longer terms than might be available in the traditional lending market – and the SBA considers any company with fewer than 500 employees a small business.

Sylina Jacobs, Outreach Specialist for the US Small Business Administration, will present with a local SBA-backed lender on the current loan products being offered and how you can connect your town’s businesses to access this funding.

Louis Silva, President & CEO, Community Investment Corporation, will talk about CIC’s work providing small businesses capital to start and grow, serving Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts from their Hamden, CT headquarters.
