Public Survey – Plan of Conservation and Development

SCRCOG has issued an online survey to assist the 15-town region prepare an update to the regional Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD).

POCDs are guidance documents that set policy priorities for the future of the region and its communities – physically, economically, environmentally and socially. POCDs contain goals and visions along with recommended actions to help work towards achieving those goals. The planning process involves engaging the regional community in a dialogue on its future, and the survey is a first step in leading that region-wide discussion.

The survey intends to gather information from those who live, work, or own a business or property in the South Central Region on current and future quality of life issues, housing and business development, conservation, and transportation throughout the region. SCRCOG will also notify the region as it holds public workshops and meetings throughout the planning process, which is expected to continue throughout the rest of the year. The survey can be accessed from the link below.
