The City of New Haven and South Central Regional Council of Governments are exploring ways to improve Fountain Street to make the street safer and more functional for all modes of travel.
The Fountain Street Study will address traffic congestion and pedestrian and bicycle safety and identify place-making strategies to improve connectivity between residential and commercial districts.
A virtual public workshop will be held to discuss opportunities for improving the study area which includes Fountain Street, a portion of Central Avenue, and Whalley Avenue between West Rock Avenue and Harrison Street.
