The purpose of this study was to provide recommendations to initiate mobility management of human services transportation for the elderly and persons with disabilities (a gap identified through the regional LOCHSTP program). The study includes information on needs, resources, practices, and implementation issues so that the project established for the Region can meet the needs of its stakeholders.

This study reviews existing freight facilities and provide options for increasing freight service for niche markets, removing trucks from the I-95 and I-91 corridors, reducing congestion, and providing timely delivery of goods and food products for the region’s consumers. It was completed in cooperation with the Tweed Airport Authority.
The second phase of this project consisted of two tasks: 1) the preparation of GIS mapping and a database incorporating the results of the Phase 1 traffic signal inventory and 2) the preparation of a signal system master plan to prioritize the long-term replacement of traffic signals and provide short-term maintenance recommendations.

The South Central Regional Transportation Plan addresses broad goals for the transportation needs of the Region and is updated regularly. Each Plan provides direction for the Region on major policy issues on all modes of transportation. Regional needs and initiatives are outlined for utilization in framing transportation solutions during the period covered by each Plan.Past reports from 2011, 2007, 2004, and 2001 are also available.
This study evaluated existing conditions and provided recommendations for intersection performance, signal timing, and recommended improvements for twenty-four signals on the Whalley Avenue, Dixwell Avenue and Whitney Avenue corridors.
This study identifies opportunities for transit-oriented development in the South Central Region by exploring regional trends and the opportunities for transit-oriented development in proximity of each train station area. In addition, this study provides an in-depth analysis around each of the existing or planned train stations located in the region.

This 2018 Congestion Management Process (CMP) Report represents a continuation of SCRCOG’s efforts to better understand the transportation system throughout the Region and in the Greater New Haven area. This report takes a systematic approach to identify and address congested areas within the region.
The purpose of the Hazard Mitigation Plan is to help reduce the South Central Region’s vulnerability to natural hazards and ease the burden of keeping communities safe and resilient. The Hazard Mitigation Plan identifies hazard risks and mitigation actions to reduce or eliminate those risks.
